Beirut AI is a youth-led initiative designed to equip 25 young people aged 16–24 with practical knowledge and essential skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) while promoting the responsible and ethical use of these technologies.
The initiative will deliver interactive training sessions that introduce participants to AI concepts, practical AI tools, and real-world applications in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and everyday life. Through hands-on activities, participants will learn how to use AI to enhance productivity, creativity, research, communication, and problem-solving.
In addition to technical learning, the initiative emphasizes responsible digital behavior by addressing topics such as AI ethics, digital citizenship, misinformation, bias in AI-generated content, privacy protection, and critical thinking. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to use AI safely, ethically, and effectively.
As a final practical component, participants will work in teams to create and publish short awareness videos on social media promoting the responsible use of AI among young people. These youth-led campaigns will extend the initiative's impact beyond the training room and encourage wider community awareness.
Through a combination of technical training, digital ethics, and community engagement, Beirut AI aims to prepare Lebanese youth for an AI-driven future, strengthen their employability, and empower them to become responsible digital citizens and ambassadors for positive AI use within their communities.

To ensure effective participation and successful implementation of the initiative, applicants should meet the following requirements: * Be between 16 and 24 years old. * Demonstrate an interest in technology, innovation, and Artificial Intelligence. * Commit to attending all training sessions and actively participating in group activities. * Possess basic digital literacy and the ability to use a computer or smartphone (no prior AI or programming experience is required). * Show motivation to learn, collaborate, and contribute to community awareness activities. * Be willing to work in teams to develop and produce social media awareness content promoting the responsible and ethical use of AI. * Commit to applying the knowledge gained and sharing it within their schools, universities, or local communities after completing the initiative.

The Beirut AI initiative consists of one full-day interactive training followed by a one-month youth-led digital awareness campaign. During the training day, 25 young participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) through engaging presentations, practical demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. The training will cover real-world AI applications, practical AI tools, responsible and ethical AI use, digital citizenship, misinformation, privacy, and critical thinking. In the second part of the training, participants will be divided into small teams to design creative awareness campaigns and develop concepts, scripts, and content ideas for short social media videos promoting the responsible and positive use of AI. Following the training, participants will implement a one-month awareness campaign by producing and publishing their videos and digital content across social media platforms. Throughout the campaign, they will receive remote guidance and follow-up support to ensure high-quality content and maximize community engagement. The initiative will conclude with an evaluation of the campaign's reach and impact, encouraging participants to become ambassadors for responsible AI use while extending the initiative's benefits to a wider audience of young people across Lebanon.
