Determine the challenges to be faced, i.e. the identified societal problems, who is affected and what are the repercussions on society.
Building the capacities of young volunteers to facilitate life skills kit sessions for children and adolescents during crises. Promoting mental health and emotional well-being among children and youth in shelter centers. Developing life skills and psychological resilience among adolescents to help them deal with pressures and challenges. Providing safe and interactive spaces for children and youth to express their feelings and build positive relationships. Enhancing the role of youth volunteers as community leaders in humanitarian response.
It includes an explanation of the activities and steps necessary to implement the opportunity, with an explanation of the time periods and costs for each activity and for the entire opportunity, as providing this information accurately reflects the professionalism of those in charge of the opportunity and their experience in the field of community work.
The first phase of the training will be held virtually on Thursday, May 28, from 4:00 AM to 6:30 PM, where volunteers will participate in an interactive training that includes basic concepts about life skills, building psychological resilience, and methods of facilitating activities with children and adolescents in environments affected by crises. As for the second phase, it will include applying the activities acquired during the training by implementing the Psychosocial Well-being and Life Skills Kit within shelter centers in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, in a safe and organized manner, with the aim of supporting children and youth and enhancing their sense of security and inclusion.
