Anera, in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP), is implementing an emergency humanitarian response aimed at distributing hot meals daily to vulnerable individuals living in shelter centers across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and South Lebanon.
The project aims to deliver 20,000 hot meals per day over a three-month period, working with local and community kitchens to ensure an organized, fast, and dignified distribution process, in close coordination with relevant actors in shelter centers.
Volunteers will support the daily meal distribution inside shelter centers in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and South Lebanon. This includes organizing distribution lines, assisting beneficiaries during meal collection, ensuring correct distribution of meals, supporting elderly people, children, and persons with disabilities, and communicating with responsible teams to ensure smooth operations while reporting any issues or observations to supervisors.
Transportation and meals will be covered for volunteers during field days.

Volunteers will receive a full introduction at the beginning of the activity about the project, its objectives, and the workflow inside shelter centers, in addition to an explanation of the required tasks, safety guidelines, and distribution procedures. Volunteers will work within teams to support the meal distribution process inside shelter centers by organizing beneficiary lines, assisting with meal distribution, supporting vulnerable groups such as elderly people, children, and persons with disabilities, and helping ensure that distributions are carried out in a safe and organized manner. Volunteers will also coordinate with responsible teams inside the shelters to ensure smooth distribution operations while reporting any issues or observations that may arise during the activity to supervisors.
