Objective
The Tree House is supporting The School of Citizenship by recruiting Lebanese youth volunteers to support the School of Citizenship initiative in the second phase of the project. The main objective of the oversight visit is to accompany schools across Lebanon in their 'post-training' phase, with volunteers assigned to visit private schools within their designated geographical areas to focus on governance and civic projects.
About the initiative
The School of Citizenship strengthens civic education by supporting schools that promote student participation, shared values, and positive community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct On-Site Visits: Perform 2 scheduled visits to private schools within your assigned region.
Needs Identification: Use active listening to accurately identify and record specific school needs as communicated by school staff.
Liaison Reporting: Document visit findings and school requirements in English to ensure clear communication with The Tree House focal point.
Requirements & Selection Criteria
Communication: Proficiency in verbal Arabic for school interactions and written English for reporting purposes.
Soft Skills: Strong active listening skills and the ability to communicate respectfully with school leadership and staff.
Geographic Knowledge: Must be based in or familiar with the region/governorate of the assigned schools.
Technical Background: High attention to detail; previous experience working within school environments is considered an asset.
Values Alignment: Demonstrated commitment to neutrality, professionalism, and the core values of the Alliance initiative.
Age: 19 to 29 years old
Location: Any of the Lebanese governorates — Akkar, Baalbek-Hermel, Beirut, Bekaa, Mount Lebanon, Nabatieh, North Lebanon, and South Lebanon.
Commitment
Mandatory Training: Attendance at the specialized training day held at the start of the activity is required.
Scheduled Visits: Commitment to completing the total number of school visits agreed upon during the onboarding phase.
