As part of the Greener Lebanon Project, we will organize an educational awareness session on climate change specifically for youth. During this fun and interactive session, students will explore the true meaning of climate change, its causes, and how it affects our daily lives.
Together, we will discover how simple actions such as reducing waste, reusing materials, and recycling can make a big difference.
By the end of the session, students will learn how to adopt environmentally friendly habits in their classrooms and schoolyards, making them greener and cleaner spaces for everyone.

This volunteer activity is targeted at youth aged 15 to 25 and provides an excellent opportunity to participate in environmental conservation efforts. Participants should be students at Beit Faqs Public School, ensuring support for local youth engagement and encouraging community involvement. This opportunity allows students to develop practical skills, learn about teamwork and environmental responsibility, and contribute effectively to the cleanliness and protection of their community.

Introduction and Icebreaker Discussion on “Why Our Planet Matters” and presentation of the Greener Lebanon Project. Understanding Climate Change: An interactive session covering the causes, impacts, and importance of climate change in our daily lives. From Awareness to Action: Demonstration of how to implement a recycling program in the classroom and throughout the school. Students will identify locations for recycling bins and discuss a waste collection schedule. Environmental and Volunteer Club Initiatives Explanation of how youth can implement ongoing initiatives, including: Climate preservation campaigns Waste reduction projects Volunteer opportunities in school and the community Planning and Commitment: Students will prepare action plans for their classrooms and schoolyards and commit to regular participation in environmentally friendly activities and volunteer projects.
