The opportunity "Start the Change; Protect the Climate" focuses on raising awareness about climate change and promoting sustainable practices. Participants will attend a training workshop at the Makani Center in Al-Zaytoun on October 27, 2025, to learn about the causes, effects, and possible solutions to climate change. On October 30, 2025, they will lead a waste-sorting campaign in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Al-Fakiha to apply what they learned and encourage the community to take action for a cleaner and healthier environment.

The opportunity will take place over two days in Al-Zaytoun and Al-Fakiha. On October 27, 2025, participants will gather at 1:30 p.m. at the Makani Center in Al-Zaytoun to attend a two-hour training workshop about climate change, its causes, effects, and practical community solutions. On October 30, 2025, participants will gather at 1:30 p.m. in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Al-Fakiha to conduct a community waste-sorting campaign. Each participant will help raise awareness among residents, distribute sorting bags, and demonstrate correct sorting methods. Lunch, refreshments, and the necessary campaign materials (bags, gloves, educational flyers) will be provided for all participants. Transportation between Al-Zaytoun and Al-Fakiha will also be arranged.
