- Understanding how to report environmental violations and the proper channels for escalation. - Practical skills in waste sorting (at source) and sustainable disposal methods. - Awareness of the environmental and social benefits of reforestation and expanding green spaces. - Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of municipalities in environmental protection. - Experience coordinating with schools and NGOs to deliver community awareness campaigns. - Insight into collaboration mechanisms between youth groups (YLI) and the Internal Security Forces. - Improved communication and outreach skills for neighborhood-level environmental initiatives.


Opportunity requirements

- Commitment to attend all campaign activities from October 26 to 29, 2025. - Strong interest in environmental protection and community engagement. - Ability to communicate clearly with local residents, schools, and institutions. - Basic knowledge of waste sorting and recycling practices is preferred. - Teamwork skills and readiness to participate in field activities. - Respect for safety guidelines and collaboration with municipal and security authorities.


The volunteer opportunity plan
It includes an explanation of the activities and steps necessary to implement the opportunity, with an explanation of the time periods and costs for each activity and for the entire opportunity, as providing this information accurately reflects the professionalism of those in charge of the opportunity and their experience in the field of community work.

The opportunity will run from October 26 to 29, 2025, in Al-Ain and Ras Baalbek. Day 1: Gathering at 9:30 a.m. at Al-Ain Public School to distribute environmental brochures and explain how to report violations. Day 2 (morning): Gathering at 8:30 a.m. in Al-Ain town center to raise awareness about waste sorting and disposal in the northern and Al-Muslabiyyeh neighborhoods. Day 2 (afternoon): Gathering at 1:30 p.m. at Al-Ain Municipality for a visit encouraging reforestation and green space expansion. Day 3: Gathering at 9:30 a.m. with the YLI team for a visit to the Internal Security Forces station in Ras Baalbek to deliver an official fax and promote cooperation. Lunch and transportation will be provided for all participants throughout the activities.
