Green Roots in Ehden: Youth Planting for the Future
A community-led tree planting initiative that puts youth at the forefront of creating a greener, healthier Ehden.
This initiative aims to empower young volunteers to take meaningful action for their environment while strengthening their role in shaping a sustainable and thriving local ecosystem.
Through this event, youth participants will:
Gain hands-on experience in tree planting and environmental stewardship
Promote awareness about the importance of trees for climate, biodiversity, and community well-being
Contribute to building local climate resilience and fostering civic engagement
Enhance the natural beauty and long-term sustainability of Ehden.

On September 27, the tree planting event in Ehden will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The day will begin with the arrival of around 200 youth participants, who will be provided with gloves, saplings, and planting tools. A brief orientation will follow, explaining the goals of the activity, safety instructions, and the proper method for planting and caring for the trees. At 9:30 AM, participants will take part in a short climate education session, highlighting the importance of trees, environmental sustainability, and the role of youth in climate action. By 10:00 AM, tree planting will begin in designated areas, with teams working together to plant and properly position the saplings. Around 11:00 AM, a short break with refreshments will be offered to keep everyone energized. The final part of the activity will focus on watering the newly planted trees, ensuring all areas are tidy, and reviewing tips for long-term tree care. The event will wrap up with a group photo and a short closing session to thank participants and emphasize the impact of youth involvement in environmental protection.
