Environmental Clean-up Activity
Solid waste and environmental pollution are among the most significant challenges facing our communities. Collective action and volunteerism are essential steps toward creating cleaner and healthier public spaces. This opportunity invites passionate volunteers to join an environmental clean-up campaign aimed at removing litter from public areas and natural spaces, while promoting a culture of cleanliness and environmental stewardship within the community. The activity will be carried out by Key of Life, and will be conducted in Ayshe Bakkar Area, near Dar Alfatwa, in coordination with UNICEF, as part of a unified effort to promote positive environmental behavior and encourage active community participation. The campaign will include providing clean-up equipment, sorting recyclable waste, and documenting efforts through photos and media content. Volunteers will participate in waste collection and sorting.
Safety gear (gloves, bags, etc.) will be provided.
Certificates of participation will be awarded to active volunteers.

Awareness of the impact of waste on public health and ecosystems. Practical skills in waste sorting and recycling. Strengthened teamwork and collaboration skills for a shared environmental goal.

This campaign aims to remove waste from streets and public spaces, sort recyclable waste, and raise environmental awareness among the local community. Implementation Steps and Timeline: Gathering – 15 minutes Volunteer reception, registration, distribution of equipment, and safety instructions. Cleaning Campaign Implementation – 1 hour and 15 minutes Waste collection from streets and public spaces, sorting recyclable materials into designated bags. Collection and Transportation – 20 minutes Transportation of bags to designated collection points in coordination with relevant authorities. Closing and Documentation – 10 minutes Photos will be taken, volunteers will be thanked, and certificates of participation will be distributed. What will be provided to volunteers: Safety equipment and tools (gloves, bags, masks). Drinking water. Participation certificates.
