The Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) is launching a Plastic Collection and Sorting Campaign at its Baalbek Center, running from September 3rd to September 10th, 2025, every day between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. This initiative is part of LOST’s ongoing environmental efforts to reduce plastic waste and encourage sustainable practices within the community. The campaign aims to engage around 50 youth volunteers from Baalbek and neighboring areas in an activity that combines environmental awareness with hands-on community action. Volunteers will collect plastic waste from their households and communities, then bring it to the LOST Center, where the waste will be sorted and weighed. This process will not only help reduce the amount of plastic ending up in the environment but also demonstrate the collective impact of small, everyday actions. Through this activity, LOST seeks to instill a stronger culture of environmental responsibility and volunteerism among young people. By participating, volunteers will contribute directly to reducing pollution, promoting recycling, and preserving the natural beauty of Baalbek. The campaign also serves as a platform for raising awareness about the importance of proper waste management, while highlighting the role of youth in driving positive change for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
