As part of the Greener Lebanon national initiative, a clean-up activity will be held on Sunday, 10 August 2025, at the outskirts of the historic St. Louis Land Castle in Saida. This event will bring together 50 young volunteers, aged 15 to 24, who are committed to protecting their environment and preserving Lebanon’s coastal heritage.
Greener Lebanon, led by Live Love Lebanon, empowers youth across the country to take climate action through education, environmental volunteering, and community-led initiatives. Through this clean-up, participants will gain hands-on experience in environmental stewardship while raising awareness about the importance of waste management and marine ecosystem protection.
The event is organized in collaboration with "Enta Karim" NGO and the Municipality of Saida, highlighting the importance of local partnerships in promoting youth-led climate action and civic responsibility.

Applicants should ideally meet the following: Aged between 15 and 24 years old Interested in environmental issues and community service Physically able to participate in outdoor clean-up activities Comfortable working in a group setting Committed to attending the full event on Sunday, 10 August 2025 in Saida St. Louis Castle Note: No prior experience or special equipment is required. All necessary materials will be provided by the organizers.

Opportunity Plan Title: Youth Clean-Up Event – Saida Sea Citadel Date: Sunday, 10 August 2025 Location: St. Louis Land Castle - Saida Target Group: 50 young people aged 15–24 Activity Timeline & Plan 9:00 AM – Welcome & Orientation Participants will arrive at the meeting point near the Saida Sea Citadel, check in, and receive their safety gear and briefing materials. A short welcome session by organizers (Live Love Lebanon, Anta Karim NGO, and the Municipality of Saida), followed by a safety and logistics briefing. Climate Education Session by Youth Trainers. 9:45 AM – Clean-Up Activity Begins Participants will be divided into small groups and assigned to designated areas. Tasks include: Collecting waste along the shoreline and surrounding area Documenting and photographing the process for awareness 12:30 PM – Closing Circle & Group Photo Final remarks, sharing outcomes of the activity, and taking a group photo. Applicant Tasks Arrive on time and participate in all scheduled activities Follow safety guidelines and respect the environment Work collaboratively in groups Help raise awareness by sharing photos or videos (optional) What Will Be Provided Safety gloves, trash bags, and basic tools and water Participation certificate (based on hours via Nahno-Volunteers Platform)
