Description of Opportunity

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, and raising awareness among youth is a key step toward building a more informed, active, and environmentally responsible generation. This opportunity invites passionate volunteers to support a day of awareness sessions designed to educate young people (ages 15–25) about climate change, its local and global impacts, and the actions they can take to contribute to a healthier planet.

These sessions were conducted by the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) with the coordination with UNICEF in different locations, reaching multiple youth groups in a single coordinated effort. Each session lasted approximately 45 minutes which included Nahno registration and Pre- Post tests, interactive discussions, visual materials, and simple, actionable messages about sustainability—such as reducing waste, conserving water and energy, protecting natural resources, and understanding the importance of climate justice.

The volunteer opportunity plan

The awareness sessions aimed to educate youth on the causes and effects of climate change—both locally and globally—while promoting practical, sustainable behaviors such as reducing waste, conserving energy and water, protecting natural resources, and understanding the importance of climate justice. Each session lasted around 45 minutes and included participant registration through the "Nahno" platform, pre- and post-tests to assess learning, engaging discussions, and visual educational materials.
