This activity offers youth aged 15-29 a chance to learn about climate change and waste management through an engaging awareness session, followed by a hands-on community clean-up in Horsh Beirut. Participants will also enjoy a guided walk to connect with nature. The role of applicants is to actively participate in all parts of the event, contribute to cleaning the park, and help promote environmental stewardship within their community. This is an ideal opportunity to gain knowledge, take meaningful action, and join a youth-driven environmental movement.

The World Environment Day event at Horsh Beirut will take place on 28 June 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event consists of three main parts: Awareness Session (10:00 AM – 10:45 AM): Participants will engage in an interactive 45-minute session focused on climate change and waste management to build foundational knowledge. Community Clean-up (10:45 AM – 11:30 AM): Youth will organize into small groups to collect and properly dispose of solid waste within Horsh Beirut, promoting active environmental stewardship. Free Walk & Reflection (11:30 AM – 12:00 PM): A guided free walk within the park to appreciate green spaces and discuss the importance of environmental conservation. What Will Be Provided: Light refreshments including water and snacks during the event. Necessary cleaning supplies and safety equipment for the clean-up.
