As part of the Greener Lebanon national initiative, a clean-up activity will take place on 13 August 2025 at Ouzai. The event will bring together 30 young volunteers aged 15 to 24, all committed to protecting the environment and preserving Lebanon’s natural and cultural heritage.
Greener Lebanon initiative empowers youth across the country to lead climate action through education, environmental volunteering, and community-driven initiatives. During this clean-up, participants will gain hands-on experience in environmental stewardship while promoting awareness on waste management and the protection of marine ecosystems.
This event is organized in collaboration with Live Love Lebanon, emphasizing the power of local partnerships in advancing youth-led climate action and civic responsibility.

On August 13, 2025, the Ouzai clean-up activity will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM as part of the Greener Lebanon initiative. The day will begin with the arrival and registration of 30 youth participants, who will receive gloves, and cleanup tools. Following this, a short briefing will be held to explain the objectives, safety guidelines, and the waste sorting process. By 9:30 AM, participants will begin the clean-up in designated areas, working in teams to collect and separate waste materials. A short break with water and snacks will take place around 11:00 AM to keep everyone refreshed. The final 45 minutes will be dedicated to gathering full bags at the collection point and ensuring the area is left clean. The activity will conclude with a group photo and a short debrief session to thank the participants and reflect on the importance of youth-led environmental action.
